Coronation Street bosses are planning some very dramatic scenes for the soap’s popular local builder Jason Grimshaw.
In episodes set to air over the coming months, Grimshaw will be left “fighting for his life” when he is viciously beaten after being called out to a bogus job.
Lured to the scene by a beautiful young blonde woman, Jason soon learns that vindictive Callum is behind the call. Callum is out for blood after Jason tried to stop him from threatening the Platt family.
The move will leave Jason’s parents Eileen and Tony praying for him to pull through.
The disturbing scenes have been described as “shocking” and “sickening”. Speaking to The Sun, a source said “That is exactly what bosses want to achieve… They want to show fans how evil Callum can be when he puts his mind to it.”
