Met Éireann has issued a status yellow wind warning for bank holiday Monday.
Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick will all be affected with strong southerly winds expected to affect the Connacht and Munster region.
The weather warning will be in effect from 9am to 9pm.
Wind gusts of up to 100km/hr are expected throughout the day, with temperatures dropping to a cool 12 degrees from tonight.
On the west coast, gusts will be up to 110km/h and there will be strong gales at sea.
