The Academic have just announced that they will be headlining a show at Whelan’s on October 29th.

The lead singer of the indie-rock group Craig Fitzgerald said: “We have spent the last 6/7 years, since our early teens, playing where anybody was prepared to listen to us.
“There has been no defined path or formula for us. We write, we rehearse, we plug in and we play. It’s that simple. We are not a band that was shaped overnight.
“We have grown up as people and as musicians over the last couple of years but we have gone through a lot of sh*t to get to the point where we are happy with the music we are making right now.”
Tickets for the gig go on sale at 9.00am on Friday July 31st. They are priced at €13.50 and are available from the usual outlets.
