Spielberg Classic Gets Jameson Cult Film Club Treatment

The only thing better than watching a film on the big screen is having it come to life in front of your very eyes...

The Jameson Cult Film Club returned to Dublin last night with a spine-tingling screening of Steven Spielberg’s 1975 shark classic Jaws.

The film, which has prevented viewers from going back into the water for years, was brought to life in The Tivoli Theatre.

There were lifeguards and everything at The Tivoli Theatre last night.

But as always, it wasn’t just about what was happening onscreen that made the event special. The venue was transformed into an island, supervised by lifeguards.

Actors also played the roles of Chief Brody, Captain Quint and Hopper who were originally performed by Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw and Richard Dreyfuss.

Jameson have held a number of interactive film screenings in the city.

Special effects and live theatre made the already thrilling classic even more realistic for the audience members who got sprayed with water at the end of the screening.

The Jameson Cult Film Club has previously held interactive screenings for The Silence of the Lambs, Reservoir Dogs and The Blues Brothers.

And we can’t wait for the next one!
