Paz de la Huerta has launched a $55m lawsuit after being hit by an ambulance on the set of one of her movies.
The actress, best known for appearing on Boardwalk Empire, sustained a spinal injury after she was clipped by the vehicle in 2011 as it speeded by her in a scene from Nurse 3D.
The movie, which had a budget of $10m and told the story of a nurse out for revenge on cheating men, made just $5m on its release in 2013 and the star is now suing director Doug Aarniokoski and the driver of the ambulance for harming her career.
According to TMZ, Aarniokoski decided she “was a pain in the ass” when she requested compensation for the incident and dubbed many of her scenes with the voice of another actress.
She is claiming that she is owed $55m in lost earnings and damages and is demanding that the scenes are re-dubbed with her voice.
