Two people escaped without serious injury after their helicopter crashed in Co Longford last night.
According to reports the incident occurred at around 9.00pm on Wednesday in the village of Abbeyshrule.
It is believed that the helicopter had slowed down in an attempt to land but one of its propellers clipped a building, the Rustic Inn Bar, during the descent.

The two people on board escaped without serious injury (one is said to have sustained minor injuries). The pub may have suffered some structural damage as a result of the collision.
Gardaí are preserving the scene for the air accident investigations unit.
