He’s busy at the moment shaking his hips on Strictly Come Dancing but Nicky Byrne has admitted that in the future he would love to be on the stage in the West End.
According to reports the former Westlife star said that he had previously considered moving to America to pursue a career in acting but that his family changed his priorities.
We certainly think he has the moves and the facial expressions to be on the stage!
“Acting is definitely something I’d consider. I did an acting course in New York about five years ago and I made a decision that one day I’d go to the States and try to get an agent. But times change. Now I’m married, with twin boys…”
However Nicky said he would still be keen to do a stage show: “Probably something like Grease, that’d be pretty cool. The songs and characters are so well known.”
Nicky said he would quite like to appear in the stage show of Grease.
Well he certainly has the moves and the voice having been in one of the most successful boy bands of all time.
As everybody knows, Westlife went their separate ways after 14 years together, an experience that Nicky says will bond them for life.
“I share a serious bond with the lads, and we’ll never lose that bond. I like to think we’ll be able to keep in touch and pick up the phone at any point,” he explained.
Perhaps it could be a bond that would bring them together as the T-Birds… we’ll have our fingers crossed anyway!
