Coronation Street regular Catherine Tyldesley is to return to our screens later this year and her character Eva Price is to get close to one of the soap’s new arrivals.
Former X Factor winner Shayne Ward joins the Manchester show next month as Aidan Connor and according to The Sun, he and Eva will “find love”.
As Corrie fans will know, Eva was in a relationship with Jason Grimshaw but temporarily left the show in February after her other half accused her of having an affair with his father, Tony Stewart.

Jason has since learned that his half-brother Todd was responsible for starting the rumours and although viewers had expected Eva to give Jason another chance on her return, it looks as though she might set her sights on someone else.
Shane’s character Aidan is a distant cousin of long-running cast member Michelle Connor and his first appearance on the soap will air next month.
Catherine is currently on maternity leave after she gave birth to her first child Alfie with fitness trainer Tom Pitfield in March.
