Read it and weep…

We all know that one of the best parts of heading on a night out is the food.

We’re not fussy ladies, a chipper on the way home will do. We just expect it to be clean.

Unfortunately for some Irish punters, their local food establishment might have been hit with a closure notice this month.

Cheap Eats: The Local

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued seven closure notices, based on a number of issues that take into account the handling preparation and condition of the premises.

While we don’t plan on sending anyone to bed with nightmares, maybe take a quick look through the list before popping out for a 3’in’1…

Closure orders were issued in Dublin, Cork, Cavan, Louth, Mayo and Wexford to the following establishments:

1. Shanghai House restaurant, Mitchelstown, Co Cork
2. Mr Wong Take Away, Co Cavan
3. D Limit African & European Restaurant, Dublin 3
4. Posh Nosh Take Away, Moorehall, Ardee, Co Louth.
5. “Fish & Chips” Catering Trailer (chip van), Hollymount, Co Mayo
6. Pearl River Take Away, Phibsborough, Dublin 7
7. Hotel Curracloe , Enniscorthy, Co Wexford
