How Booty-Ful: Ladies, It’s Officially National Smack a Bum Day

Yes, according to Twitter today is the day when it's perfectly acceptable to give someone a cheeky smack on the bum. So we're asking, which Irish men would you slap on the arse?

According to various reports flying around on Twitter this morning, today is officially National Smack a Bum Day. Yes, really.

Ladies, if you’re planning on leaving the house, we recommend that you are vigilant of any bum-smackers in your direct vicinity. Because let’s face it, there’s a time and a place for arse-slapping and no one wants to have their bum smacked when they’re on a crowded Luas. Mortifying or what?

So how did National Smack a Bum day come into being? Well a few suspicious posters started appearing around Dublin which encouraged office workers specifically to get their colleagues involved in the phenomenon.

Oh and Bressie decided that there simply must be more press coverage about the National ‘holiday’ to avoid any legal issues, so we figured we’d oblige (seriously, who can say no to Bressie?)

Her in the Her.ie office we’d like to give the following Irish bottoms a cheeky smack and/or pinch (providing we could get away with it): Chris O’Dowd’s booty, Tommy Bowe’s junk in the trunk and Colin Farrell’s firm backside.

We’d also give an honourable smack to Robert Sheehan (also known as Robbie from Love/Hate) because we’ve developed a major crush on him over the past few months.

Alright ladies, which Irish fellas would you playfully smack on the arse? And for the day that’s in it…
