David Beckham was clearly brimming with pride at the Queen’s Young Leaders reception at Buckingham Palace on Monday night.
The former footballer (who looked dapper as always) shared a snap of himself alongside the Queen on his Instagram account.
The caption read: “WOW my nan and grandad would have been so proud of this picture… Beautiful evening a Buckingham Palace [sic]”.

The programme recognises and celebrates the contribution of young people across the Commonwealth.
Over the weekend, David was also chuffed about his Father’s Day present (a bracelet reading “Daddy”).
Beside a picture of the piece of jewellery, the father-of-four wrote: “‘Lead with Love’” the perfect Father’s Day gift”.
