The countdown is officially on!

It’s only a matter of days until this year’s Glastonbury festival kicks off and there’s been some more exciting news for fans of the famous event.

According to reports, the headliners for Glastonbury 2016 have already been booked.

Emily Eavis revealed to Digital Spy that organisers are in a ‘really good position’ for next year.

“We’ve got three headliners for next year, so that’s completely sorted,” she said.

“It means we can now focus on the rest of the bill,” she added, before dismissing rumours that the festival was going to expand across two weekends.

“I don’t really fancy doing that for Glastonbury,” she mused. “For me, one of the great things about it is that it exists for one weekend and then it’s gone.

“It’s definitely not going to get any bigger – if anything, smaller. But it’s not getting any bigger.”

This year’s festival runs from June 24th to 28th with headliners including Kanye West, The Who and Florence + The Machine.

Florence + The Machine took the headline billing after the Foo Fighters had to pull out of the festival when Dave Grohl broke his leg during another gig.
