Looks Like The Kardashian Klann Have Konquered The United Kingdom With Their Klothing Kollection For Dorothy Perkins

British high-street retailer Dorothy Perkins has slowly but surely been rebranding itself and any qualms about the brands future have undeniably been laid to rest following the sell-out Kardashian Kollection which launched last week.

Her

Part of the Arcadia group, DP was in some ways a slightly boring older sister to uber-cool Topshop and partywear pitstop Miss Selfridge but in the last couple of years it has been infusing its collections with sharp tailoring, great quality (and super flattering) skinny jeans and Victoria Beckham style dresses that are perfect for the office.

At first we were slightly baffled by the announcement that LA’s most famous sisters were launching their latest clothing line in the store but having seen the Kollection in full and seeing what the hysteria has done for the flailing store, it seems the pairing has been a match made in heaven. The Kardashian Kollection is made up of sexy body con, lots of tailored pieces and a vast selection of pretty shirts and blouses and it fits in perfectly with what Dorothy Perkins have being trying to achieve on their own in the last couple of seasons.

Kourtney and Kim rock the red carpet at London club Aqua

You have to give the sisters the kredit they deserve. Unlike many celebrities who endorse or collaborate with a high-street store, Kim, Kourtney and Khloe literally threw themselves into publicising their latest venture with numerous one-to-one interviews with the British press, a meet and greet session with over 500 fans at London’s Westfield Shopping Centre and a VIP party in London club Aqua where the sisters spent 15 minutes in the freezing cold posing for pictures with fans.

And it seems that their hard work paid off with several sizes from the range selling out within hours. A figure hugging red dress worn by Kim on Lorraine’s ITV morning show sold out online in a size eight in minutes and by Saturday there were only sizes 14 and 16 left. Similarly, a black sequinned backless number worn by the beauty for her appearance at Aqua on Thursday was sold out by Saturday night.

The Kollection won’t appeal to everyone but there are some nice pieces cowering behind all the leopard print and body-con bandage style dresses. We have our eye on the super flattering tuxedo shorts and a sparkly gold jacket that would look great dressed down with white t-shirt and skinny jeans.

We’re loving this trophy jacket, perfect for giving skinny jeans a luxe lift

Perfect for the party season, team these shorts with a silk blouse and sky high heels

And from a business point of view, the boost to British retail is undeniably impressive. Speaking to Women’s Wear Daily, Arcadia boss Sir Phillip Green said “I have been seriously impressed with the way these girls work. They are smart and savvy, and know how to build a brand.”

The retail mogul has also confirmed that he has committed to “a couple of seasons” of the Kardashian Kollection, and has plans to launch their interiors collection in BHS.
