What turns women on? This is the question that neuroscientists Ogi Ogas and Sai Gaddam were trying to answer when they wrote their new book A Billion Wicked Thoughts.
The book seeks to uncover the reasons why certain things turn us on and is being billed as a “revolution” in the scientific study of sexual attraction. Right, so what gets us going then?
Ogas and Gaddam studied the secret sexual behaviour of more than a hundred million men and women around the world. Now, understandably enough they knew that most of us would be downright embarrassed to admit what turns us on outright, so the neuroscientists gave their subjects the anonymity of the internet. Clever scientists!

The research revealed that when it comes to thinking nasty thoughts, the top five turn-ons for us women-folk are:
5. Having a threesome: Apparently the thoughts of getting it on with two men or with one man and one woman at the same time ranked fairly high in this bit of research, however the scientists were surprised that this sexploit only came in at number 5.
4. Being watched by others: Some of us like the idea of having an audience when we’re getting it on.
3. Being ravaged in bed: We blame Fifty Shades of Grey for this one…
2. Being worshipped in bed: Again, we feel this may have something to do with the aforementioned naughty novel series…
1. Having sex with a stranger: Surprisingly sex with a stranger came in at number one. We’ll admit even we are a little surprised at this (we honestly thought maybe sex with a celeb would be mentioned at some point).
