Friday evening not only marks the beginning of the weekend but it also marks the approach of an entertaining night… 

Modern Family – Sky1 (8:00pm)

After last year’s Halloween heart attack scare, Claire is told to tone down the celebrations this year but temptation gets the better of her when Phil holds an open house. Lily asks Mitch and Cam about her real parents while Jay and Manny feel the wrath of a pregnant Gloria.

Mad Men – RTÉ Two (9:50pm)

In tonight’s episode of the 60s-based drama Don Draper gets competitive when he catches wind of a young copywriter, Roger Sterling is still trying to assert some authority at the firm and Betty is having problems with her weight.

Alan Carr: Chatty Man – Channel 4 (10:00pm)

As if you won’t get enough of it this weekend, Alan Carr is chatting to all four of the X Factor judges along with chart-topper Nicki Minaj and Paloma Faith who will be singing her new single Never Tear Us Apart.

The Graham Norton Show – BBC One (10:35pm)

This week Graham is joined by Candy singer Robbie Williams, television personality Paul O’Grady and the newest addition to the Strictly Come Dancing panel Darcey Bussell. Skydiver Felix Baumgartner will also be making an appearance.

The Break-Up – ITV (11:05pm)

Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn star in this comedy about the perfect couple who find themselves drifting apart and eventually decide to call it a day. The only problem is that neither is willing to move out of their home.
