Paula Lane is heading back to the cobbles in the coming weeks after her maternity leave and it sounds like it’s going to be a memorable return.
The actress, who plays Kylie Platt in Coronation Street, told Digital Spy that she’s looking forward to getting back to work.
“It was a nice enough amount of time, to be honest. It wasn’t too long for me to get too used to being at home – I just about had the skills left to learn a script!”

As for what’s going to happen onscreen, Paula revealed there might be a shock or two especially when it comes to Kylie’s ex Callum Logan (Sean Ward).
She said: “Well, I’ve just read some scripts which had something in that had me gasping in shock. I won’t say too much, but there’s a game to be played and it’s very, very exciting. Callum’s weak spot is Kylie, and what’s to come is very well-played…”
