After her family home was burnt down in a fire, and she discovered insurance wouldn’t cover the cost of the repairs, Alyssa De La Sala decided to take things into her own hands.
The 10-year old from Florida decided to set up a lemonade stand to help her parents with the cost of the rebuild, and made an astonishing $15,000 in one day.
So how did she manage to rack up the funds?
Well Alyssa made a pretty good effort marketing her business venture, writing a letter to her local radio station, The Kane Show.
Alyssa’s gran also started a GoFundMe page called “Alyssa’s lemonade stand”, and when the word got out how she was trying to help her parents, a queue started to form.
With people making $1,000 donations per cup of lemonade, it wasn’t long before Alyssa made a serious dent in her family’s bill.
So sweet.
