The brains behind Coronation Street have sent fans of the show into a frenzy this morning with the news that “Tulisa” is set to join the soap.
Although many have taken this to mean that former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos is to appear on the Manchester based show, that’s not exactly the case.

Instead, Dev Alahan is set to return to the show, bringing his new girlfriend, a character named Tulisa, with him.
A source spoke to The Mirror about the new character saying: “Tulisa has a lot of fans working on the show.
“Sadly they cannot get the real thing to appear so naming a character Tulisa is the next best thing. It’s just a bit of fun” the insider said.
Things don’t exactly go to plan for Dev as his relationship with Tulisa encounters a few problems and his former flame Julie Carp decides enough is enough and leaves the Corrie cobbles.
