The singer, who rose to fame with the single You’re Beautiful which was then followed up with the multi-million selling album Back to Bedlam, is apparently hanging up his singing hat.
Blunt’s first single You’re Beautiful stormed to the top of the charts.
According to reports Blunt doesn’t like the ridicule that comes with chart-topping success. He told the Daily Mail: “I just want to take some time out for myself.
“I haven’t got any more plans to do more song-writing. I have been chilling out since I finished my world tour and I’ve spent a lot of time in Ibiza, where I have a villa.” Well for some, eh?
The singer has been performing on his world tour for the last while.
While he hasn’t exactly been a prolific force in the world of music in recent years, we’re sure there are still a few fans out there who will miss him.
