Every woman ponders over the words she would utter if she happened to win an Oscar, a Golden Globe or even a Razzie for her (imagined) contribution to the acting world. Acceptance speeches are supposed to be funny, but ultimately gracious and appreciative.
However, when Bridesmaids star Kristen Wiig was honoured at last night’s Elle’s Women in Hollywood awards, the actress took the opportunity to talk about her constipation.
The audience at the black tie event were shocked when Kristen revealed the intimate details of her toilet routine and said that she hadn’t gone in a number of days.
“I do want to say something from the heart, something actually kind of serious and truthful.
“I have not pooped in four days—four days! I’ve been travelling. I’m nervous. I’m getting concerned. I’m wearing a tight dress,” she unnecessarily divulged.
The actress then looked at her tummy and said: “It’s like, ‘Drink alcohol! Get it moving.”
We’re even a little mortified when we have to tell our doctor about such an issue, let alone a room full of our peers.
Maybe Kristen should leave the bathroom humour at home next time…
