Dun Laoghaire pier, the Botanic Gardens and Killiney Hill are some of the picturesque places recommended when visiting Dublin.
However, after taking a visit to Howth recently, we think it’s the perfect spot for a relaxing Sunday trip.
There are plenty of cafés and restuarants to visit once you’ve taken a stroll along the harbour but if you feel like doing something different, take the boat to Ireland’s Eye.

You can spend as little as an hour or as long as you want on the island which is home to a bird sanctuary and a long sandy beach.
Bird-watching trips, fishing trips, walking trips and tours for children can all be arranged too.
