The draw for the qualifying round of EURO 2017 took place today in Nyon, Switzerland.
The Republic of Ireland senior women’s team have been drawn in Group 2 alongside Spain, Finland, Portugal and Montenegro.
Ahead of the draw, Irish manager Sue Ronan stated, “Regardless of who we get, and even though we are third seeds, we will be going all out to try and finish in the top two.”
A total of 40 teams were included in the draw.
Northern Ireland were drawn in Group 6 along with Italy, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Georgia, while England were drawn in Group 7 with Belgium, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Estonia.
