Is Your Man Obsessed With Cleaning? New Survey Reveals Men Are Getting Tidier…

Yes, according to a new bit of research, the humble male is slowly but surely getting tidier and more hygenic believe it or not. But they're still going to wear the same pair of boxers more than once, just so you know...

Most of us would probably die of shock if we came home from work and found out that our other half had not only done all the washing but had also cleaned the bathroom and changed the bed clothes.

However, a new survey has revealed that members of the opposite sex are now just as obsessed with cleanliness as we are. Yes, we found this hard to believe as well, but anyway…

According to a new report, men who don’t take care of their personal hygiene are fast becoming a dying breed. In fact, a study of 2,000 people found that on average, men wash their hands, change their bed sheets and brush their teeth just as often as women.

BUT, and it’s a big but ladies, while men’s hygiene habits have improved overall, half of them admit that they don’t always wash their hands after using the toilet. Nice.

The research, which was commissioned by Cuticura Anti-Bacterial Hand Wash, revealed that in general, when it comes to bathroom cleanliness, women come out on top and we’re still quicker to replace bathroom essentials like loo roll and communal hand towels than our male counterparts.

“There is often a common perception that men are less competent when it comes to keeping themselves at a good standard of hygiene, but these results show that isn’t the case. In recent years we’ve become a lot more conscious of bacteria and the importance of cleanliness in our domestic lives and it’s clear to see that men are just as aware of this as women,” said a spokesman for Cuticura Anti-Bacterial Hand Wash.

“Of course, there will always be a difference in opinions between genders, things like wearing underwear more than once will always be open to debate, but it’s encouraging to see that people are taking fewer risks, cleaning their hands more regularly and living as cleanly as they can,” the spokesman added.

Is there anything hotter than a man who knows how to iron?

We should probably mention that while men are improving their day-to-day washing routines, they are still more likely to wear the same pair of underwear more than once – with a whopping 4 in 10 admitting that they do this regularly.

Men are also more likely to spend longer in the bathroom than women, mainly because they see it as a “refuge” and the average man spends about 35minutes a day in the jacks. We don’t even want to know what they’re doing in there…

So ladies, are you lucky enough to live with a man who could give Monica from Friends a run for her money or does your man need a few lessons when it comes to getting his clean on?
