Stephen Fry has quit Instagram, telling his 92,000 followers he was hounded off the image sharing site.
Posting a blank black image to his profile, Fry captioned the shot:
‘ Newspapers, as ever, suck all the joy out of everything. Closing down. It was, briefly, fun. Bye.’
The QI presenter seems to have left his account active, with followers leaving words of support on his final image.
This isn’t the first time the comedian and presenter has been forced off social media.
In 2009, Fry threatened to quit Twitter because there was “too much aggression and unkindness around”, taking a leave of absence from his account in November due to trolling.
