A warm welcome was also extended to new President Catherine Neary.

The Camogie Association bid a fond farewell to outgoing President Aileen Lawlor at Congress over the weekend following a three-year term at the helm of the fast-growing organization.

During her time at the reins, Aileen oversaw a number of advances and improvements within the association not helping towards its growth in the last number of years.

Aileen leaves a strong legacy of female refereeing, coaching and a high profile of the sport at underage and school level behind her.

She also played a key role in the procurement of sponsorship and partnerships for the Association, particularly their partnership with AIB and Liberty Insurance.
