Sex and The City may have catapulted Sarah Jessica Parker into fashion fame, but the star said she is sick of playing roles that remind her of Carrie Bradshaw.
The actress played the columnist in the hit HBO show for six seasons, but revealed that she is not tempted to play another character like Carrie.
According to Elle magazine, SJP said: “I don’t love the idea of playing another woman who loves fashion and is slightly flawed in New York City,” she said.
“I loved Sex and the City‘s Carrie and I don’t want to do the poor man’s version of her. And while those are often the lucrative things to do, it’s more reason to look in the other direction.”

The hit show, which hit our screens in the late Nineties, is set to release a new spin off series The Carrie Diaries, which stars AnnaSophia Robb.
However, Sarah said she would never give advice to younger actresses on how to do their job, and does not want to influence how AnnaSophia plays Carrie.
“I would never give advice. No, no, no.

“It’s like someone giving romance advice or parenting advice. It’s such a unique experience, playing a part and I’m sure they found someone wonderful,” she said.
The actress appeared in Elle’s ‘Women in Hollywood’ feature in which she appeared smiling on the cover and within.
