You mightn’t be able to paint the town black tonight with a job in the morning but don’t despair, there’s a promising night of TV ahead…

Format Farm: The Love Clinic – RTE2 (9:30pm)

This “feel-good dating show” is the final instalment from RTE’s Format Farm. The show will take “hopeless singletons” and hand them over to a team of experts to help them find love. The pilot sounds promising, tonight we will follow one Irish singleton who will admit themselves to their clinic and get a complete fashion, psychological and health overhaul… all in a bid to find a date.

Drugs Live: The Ecstasy Trial – Channel 4 (10:00pm)

The second part of this two-show investigation will explore the drug MDMA; its implications, lessons that can be learned by recreational users, if it can offer a breakthrough in the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder… an eye-opener and a must-watch.

Homefront – UTV (9:00pm)

This new drama series follows four women related to soldiers in Afghanistan. A husband killed in action, a mysterious letter claiming infidelity and a wedding to be organised. Put on the kettle, this is a good one.

US X Factor – TV3 (8:30pm)

Ah, we know it’s all been done before but nothing beats a good night of reality television talent shows… Simon, LA, Britney and Demi prepare for their fifth round of auditions.

Fair City – RTE1 (8:00pm)

There is drama between Kelly and Christie as he cuts back her hours and there is a slight misunderstanding between Louie, Bob and Renee… awkward. Some soap drama tonight on Fair City…
