Didn’t Sleep Last Night? Here’s Why You Could Be A Sunday Insomniac

You're not alone.

If you never sleep on a Sunday night, you could be suffering from ‘Sunday Night Insomnia’ – and it’s all down to those Monday morning starts.

A survey conducted in the UK found that Sunday night means most people will average six and a half hours sleep per night while 10 per cent of people will stress about their Monday morning commute.

Already cutting down from the recommended eight hours advised nap time means workers are tired, less likely to focus on their work and will add pressure to their work day.

The study found that the sleep deprivation means Sunday night is one of the most dreaded times of the week.

The study, conducted by the Tune Hotels Group, means that people are now starved of sleep ahead of a new working week.

The research also found that those with more physical or mentally challenging jobs were under more stress starting on a Monday than those who were in regular office jobs.

So how do you beat ‘Sunday-somnia’?

Well apparently the best tips are keeping a sleep diary, trying to reduce your workplace stress or shortening your commute distance.
