Harsh! Over 28? Tinder Reveals New Additional Features That You May Not Appreciate

Who knew Tinder was ageist?!

And then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like… if you’re over 28 you will be paying extra.

There was a time when romance was beautiful, when love was just a swipe away but Tinder decided to ruin all that by announcing additional features and revealing that the company is in fact ageist.

Tinder Plus has launched some additional new pay-to-use features that will help folk rekindle flames with those accidental left swipes and venture for love further afield.

The ‘rewind’ feature will allow users to reconsider left swipes, while the ‘Passport’ mode will let people search for singles in a different location.

Yes, you can now set up date before you even leave the country…

Advanced technology, eh!

For those interested in the upgrade, the price is £3.99 (€5.47) a month, provided that you’re under 28 of course.

Anyone over the age of 28 will have to fork out £14.99 (€20.56) per month because Tinder hate older people apparently.

The app itself will remain free, however users will no longer be able to endlessly swipe right.

Life just isn’t fair sometimes.

“We’ve priced Tinder Plus based on a combination of factors, including what we’ve learned through our testing, and we’ve found that these price points were adopted very well by certain age demographics,” a Tinder spokeswoman said.

“Lots of products offer differentiated price tiers by age, like Spotify does for students, for example.

“Tinder is no different; during our testing we’ve learned, not surprisingly, that younger users are just as excited about Tinder Plus, but are more budget constrained and need a lower price to pull the trigger.”

How do we feel about this new information? *Swipes left*
