The Script frontman, Danny O’Donoghue has already said that appearing as a judge on the reality TV talent show The Voice has caused his popularity to soar and now it seems like his star is set to keep on rising.
According to reports today, Australian television bosses are hoping to hire Danny as a judge for their own version of The Voice. Apparently Aussie producers are searching for a new judge after Keith Urban (the show’s top star) was poached by American Idol, and Danny is said to have already made their shortlist.
The Script are currently touring around Australia with The Script, and insiders have revealed that it is expected he will meet with bosses from the reality TV talent show on Saturday.

Bosses of The Voice Australia believe Danny will bring some “sex appeal” to the show.
“They’ve been put in a really tight spot after American Idol pounced on Keith and they need to quickly find someone new. They decided to watch some of the international version of the show and they were really impressed with Danny’s performance on the UK show,” said a source.
“They love the fact he’s young and extremely good-looking – it’s the sex appeal that they want and need for the show to continue to be a success. He’ll be meeting with the team from The Voice Australia on Saturday and then there will be a short wait as they work on deciding who they’ll go for,” the source added.
If Danny does manage to bag himself a judge’s seat on the show, she’ll be joined by Delta Goodrem, Joel Madden and Seal.
