It seems Whoppi Goldberg didn’t have a good time shopping in Dublin yesterday as a “bonehead” fan harassed her for a photograph before threatening her in Brown Thomas on Grafton Street.
The actress caught up on a spot of shopping before giving a talk at Trinity College yesterday, but her trip was marred by an Irish fan who threatened her after she refused to take a picture with him.
“This guy stopped me and asked for a picture.
“I said, ‘No dude, I’m happy to shake your hand, but I can’t stop,” Whoopi revealed to The Irish Sun.

According to the actress the fan replied: “Just stop right now, just do it right now.”
Whoopi said she was keen to explore Dublin city centre without being approached by fans and believed if she stopped for this man she would have to stop for everyone.
“I’m going to follow you wherever you go,” threatened the Irish fan.
After that, the actress and her daughter Alexandra moseyed on to Birkenstock on Wicklow Street where the fan followed her, advising her on which clogs would suit her best.
“I got really p*ssed off. At that point, I had felt I had done enough as a famous person,” said Whoopi.
“You should acknowledge the people who give a shit about you, but you are going to come to a place of business and start some stuff.
“I went and got the cops and that was the right way of doing it. I got the cops not because he was a bonehead because he was, but he forgot that it was my right to do what I was doing too.”

Always the trooper, Whoopi did not let the “bonehead” in question ruin her trip to Ireland and she stocked up on an incredible six pair of shoes in the capital.
Her.ie wonders what “the cops” did to send the crazed fan running but we imagine it was something along the lines of them saying something as authoritative as “stop that craic now.”
