It’s all change in the world of reality TV talent shows. Nicki Minaj and Keith Urban have just signed up to join the judging panel on American Idol, and now it seems as though Shakira and Usher are set to take up some seats on the US version of The Voice.
Yes, according to reports, Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo Green are set to be given the boot and replaced for the fourth season of the programme. But that’s not all, apparently Shakira and Usher are more than keen to take over once Christina and Cee-Lo depart.
However, it is believed that current coaches, Maroon 5’s Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will remain for the next season of the show.
Will this season of The Voice be the last one for Christina?
Christina was recently quoted as saying that her judging stint on The Voice took up way more time than she expected and that in the beginning, she’d originally seen it as nothing more than a “side project.”
“I thought, ‘It’ll keep me close to my son in L.A. I don’t have to travel. Then it kind of took off, and there goes my free time!” said Christina.
Well don’t worry Christina, if the reports are true, it won’t be too long until Shakira kicks you out of your seat and takes over.
