Looks like Gary mightn’t be so “Mr Nice Guy” after all…
The X-Factor judge has threatened to quit the reality television show if former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell comes back.
Gary Barlow called the fiery red-head “crackers”.
Halliwell was a stand-in judge during the audition stages of the ITV1 and TV3 show but head judge Barlow was not impressed with her performance and said he can’t see her ever returning.
He said: “She’s crackers. How you see her on TV is exactly how she is in real life. The crowd really didn’t like her. She got booed all day long. She was a bit over-excited.
“She’d been told she was auditioning for the role and, bless her, I think she tried a bit too hard. I do love her for being her though, we had fun backstage. She’s sweet but mad.”
“I doubt she’ll be back though. And if she is, I may be going.”

However, he did say he was very impressed with Geri’s former bandmate Mel B’s guest judge performance on the show. Gary said he thought she made a great guest judge, although her criticism could have been a bit harsh at times…
He told The Sun newspaper: “Mel was brilliant. It actually gave me a bit of a holiday the day she was there.
“I’m normally the one who delivers the bad news but she was doing it all so I could just sit there, going, ‘Oh, that’s awful, what she said’ but secretly loving it.”
We prefer a judge who speaks their mind anyway Gary…
