The Strictly Come Dancing came out in full skimpy-glittery force force at the reality television show’s launch last night… but one British radio DJ does not agree with this year’s celebrity line-up.
The outspoken Chris Evans thinks Denise Van Outen should be axed from the show, and it hasn’t even begun yet.
The Radio 2 DJ said he thinks Denise has an unfair advantage over the other contestants on the BBC One show as she has appeared in West End musicals before.
The 46-year-old asked the question; “Should Denise Van Outen be allowed to appear on Strictly as she’s appeared in a musical actually dancing?”
Evans, who first fronted the Big Breakfast show which is what Denise is most famous for, said he loves Denise but doesn’t think it is fair she is in the show.
“Don’t get me wrong, I love Denise by the way and who wouldn’t want to see Denise lighting up our screens on a Saturday night on BBC One’s hit show Strictly?
“But she is a professional actress/singer/dancer.
“Isn’t it a story of aspiration from the beginning, the seeds of learning whether you do or don’t have two left feet, to perhaps better yourself and becoming good if not better than you ever thought you could be?”

Denise Van Outen looked amazing at last night’s Strictly launch.
The 38-year-old blonde starred as Roxie Hart in Chicago in the West End and Broadway musical, but despite this the modest star rates her dancing skills at “four out of ten”.
She said; “I can do the basics, thanks to theatre school, but I haven’t danced properly for 15 years.
“I’m most nervous about the fact people will think I can dance already because of my stage career.”
But if this was the case shouldn’t we be arguing that Girls Aloud Kimberley Walsh couldn’t enter the show either? She’s definitely pulled off a few fancy steps in her time. And Nicky Byrne? He has the Westlife “down off the stool and walk forward” move down to an absolute tee at this stage…
Chris Evans has already got on the wrong side of the TV bosses after he announced on Twitter at the weekend that cricketer Michael Baughan would be taking part in the show before the official announcement.
A source told The Sun; “He’s supposed to be a BBC man. What’s his problem here?”
Denise, Kimberley and Nicky will join the likes of Victoria Pendleton, Jerry Hall, TV presenters Fern Britton, Richard Arnold and former EastEnders star Sid Owen on the show.
Ex-Emmerdale star Lisa Riley, Zoe Ball’s father Johnny, actress Dani Harmer, actor Colin Salmon, former England cricketer Michael Vaughan and Olympian Louis Smith finish the line-up.
