Fears have been growing for Macaulay Culkin ever since he was pictured looking gaunt and frail last month, sparking rumours of heroin addiction. And now? Now there are reports floating around that the star has regressed back to childhood tendencies in his adult years.

According to an insider, Macaulay has reportedly been “trying to relive” his youthful days by hosting costume dress parties in his home, where guests are asked to arrive dressed as a movie character or a dinosaur.

One ex-colleague of the former child star has said that Macaulay isn’t as happy as he makes out and he’s actually “a sad and lonely figure.”

“He likes to live as a child. Growing up has not been good to Macaulay,” the source said.

What is making Macaulay so sad? Well aside from the consistent rumours about drug abuse, the star is also depressed over his inability to get roles.

“He isn’t acting, but not by choice,” said an actor acquaintance of Macaulay’s, speaking to People magazine.

“He is vocal about wanting to revive his career, and he gets scripts and reads for parts,” the acquaintance added.

Macaulay gained worldwide recognition after he landed the role of Kevin McCallister as a child in the hit 90s film Home Alone. The movie made more than $476million altogether and cemented Macaulay as one of the biggest child stars of the early 90s.

Since then, however, things have taken a major downturn for the actor and the now 32-year old is seriously starting to worry his family, friends and colleagues. We hope he manages to sort himself out soon.
