Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day and to get in the mood, tonight’s Late Late Show is all about the L word.
In keeping with the love theme, Angela Bermudo, a spokesperson for online site Seeking Arrangements, will appear on the show.
Seeking Arrangements is a site aimed at “beautiful successful people, who fuel mutually beneficial relationships”.
People who use the site have been referred to as “sugar daddies” and “sugar babies” and earlier this week, the Late Late Show did a pre-record with ‘Laura’.
A student from Dublin, ‘Laura’ has had five sugar daddies some of whom have helped pay her college fees.
‘Laura’ said: “The longest one that I probably had was around seven months, so the allowance for that was around $5,000 per month, he would send that to me via paypal and in return for that I would just go with him to his business meetings…it was like having a fake husband.
“I did once take a trip with one of these sugar daddies, I went over and met him in London. He paid for my flight, he bought me the dress to go to dinner, there is no limit, they basically just say what you want, you can have”.
She also said that there was pressure to take the relationship to another level saying “he kind of wanted more than I was comfortable with, so when we were talking he did say he wanted to move further in the relationship so I ask him what that meant and he said ‘no strings attached fun”.
The young woman declined his request, saying that wasn’t what she was looking for.
