It was one of the biggest films of the year so it makes sense for Joss Whedon, of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame, to write and direct another Avengers film.
What doesn’t make much sense is that Gwyneth Paltrow, who played Pepper Potts in the first film and the Iron Man franchise, isn’t sure she’ll be back for it.

Gwyneth plays Pepper Potts, Iron Man’s other half, in the films.
According to reports the 39 year old actress has said that she doesn’t know whether she will be joining the other cast members for the sequel which as yet is untitled.
“I don’t know. I’m getting old for this s**t, you know what I mean?” she told E! News while promoting her new film Thanks for Sharing at the Toronto International Film Festival this week.

Talking about her new release she also added: “I just came off of Iron Man 3, which is as special effects-y and action-y as it gets. So to do something like (this) where it’s really small, funny and exciting, is really great.”
Then again, you don’t get to work with and kiss the dreamy Robert Downey Junior! Speaking of which, the third instalment of Iron Man is out next year while the sequel to the Avengers Assemble is said to be due out in 2015.
