Television’s beloved bachelor, Simon Cowell, only ever seems to have one thing, or eh-hem maybe two, things on his mind.
He is demanding for ‘X-Factor’ bosses to bring former judge, and alleged lover, Dannii Minogue back into the judge’s chair… convinced people will tune in to look at her boobs.
He urged them to splash out, no budget needed, to secure a deal with the Aussie woman.
This is all according to the sensational revelations made by the media mogul’s biographer, Tom Bower, in Cowell’s no-holds-barred book ‘Sweet Revenge’.
The book describes how the 52-year-old demanded for the star to be brought back to the show in a meeting with ITV director of television, Peter Fincham.
The meeting happened shortly after his controversial affair with Dannii, 40, was revealed in the Irish Sun in May.
Cowell reportedly said to Fincham; “Bring her back to ‘X-Factor’… everyone will be looking at her tits.”
ITV were prepared to welcome Dannii back to the show with a big fat cheque for €2.5 million but the negotiations fell through as the Australian was holding out for €6 million.
The book also discloses how some of the show stars have fallen out with mentor Cowell.
Cowell doesn’t hold back with his thoughts and, we must admit it, we love it.
He branded ‘X-Factor’ winner Matt Cardle “obnoxious” after he belittled Simon’s record label Syco.
Cowell also mocked 2002 Pop Idol star Will Young and called him a “fake, snivelling little drama queen”… harsh Simon!
Shockingly, Cowell saved some of his harshest criticism for key ‘X-Factor’ judge Gary Barlow.
Biographer Bower said; “[Cowell] enjoyed snubbing the man who foolishly asserted in a newspaper that he was the top judge, not Louis Walsh, by texting his criticism about Barlow and others.”
The announcement that Barlow would receive an OBE for arranging a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee concert added to Cowell’s irritation.
“He chased them madly to get those three letters after his name,” Cowell said.
Are we sensing a little jealousy Simon…?
