The stars of the hit drama Homeland have revealed that fans can expect a great second season filled to the brim with twists, turns and excitement.
According to The Press Association, British star Damian Lewis said: “The paranoia, anxiety quotient is cranked way up.”
Homeland follows the life of a US Marine named Nicolas Brody, played by Lewis, who was a prisoner of war in Afghanistan. While everyone else sees Nicolas as a hero, one CIA Agent, Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) believes that he is a terrorist.

The programme has been nominated for three Emmy Awards this year, and last year picked up the gong for Best Drama Series at the ceremony.
The last series of Homeland dealt with the complications of a relationship between Nicolas and Carrie but Claire Danes said that viewers love the kinky storyline.
“It’s a kinky romance, but it’s pretty sexy,” Claire said. “It’s a little star-crossed-lovers-ish. It always works.”

Damian added: “I think they see these two broken-winged birds just sort of hobbling around, circling around each other and they want them to be happy.”
Claire is expecting her first child but the pregnancy does not feature in the drama.
