After having gone down a storm after their electric performance at the Picnic last weekend, indie heroes The Delorentos are set to treat fans with seconds.

The Dubliners have decided to give their Irish fans an early Christmas present and are set to play a local homecoming show at Vicar Street on December 21st.

It will be their biggest Irish headliner to date, and we cannot wait.

The band, Kieran McGuinness, Ross McCormick, Ronan Yourell and Nial Conlon have already released their stand-out album, ‘Little Sparks’, this year and have been busy entertaining the festival masses all summer.

The self-released album is their third Top 20 hit.

The crew psyched up many a festival around the country and beyond during the summer months and played Electric Picnic in Stradbally, Indiependence in Cork and Castlepalooza in Tullamore. They ventured to Bennicassim in Spain and are currently on a Spanish tour at the moment.

The Delorentos are thinking outside the box and have pioneered a few moves in the music world.

The album release saw them set up one day pop-up shops in disused spaces to promote the record and play to the public. They also produced a full-colour magazine to package a four-track EP that preceded the album.

They even took the brave step of preceding the release with an acoustic tour. Not bad, considering the band almost called it quits in 2008.

And it seems they’re only getting better…

Expect great things from their upcoming blinder of a show.

Tickets will go on sale Monday, September 10th for €20, including booking fee.
