We haven’t seen him in a while but it looks like this superstar could be back on the big screen very soon.

Keanu Reeves is being eyed as the lead in Gabriele Muccino’s next film.

The renowed Italian director revealed that he is keen to cast the ‘Matrix’ star in the lead role of his next film. He didn’t say much but The Hollywood Reporter did let it slip that he is looking to do a thriller or sci-fi movie.

The filmmakers is best known for his collaborations with Will Smith in the heart-warming ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’ and ‘Seven Pounds’. He didn’t go into any further detail about the upcoming project but did speak about his new sports drama ‘Playing For Keeps’.

The drama hosts a wealth of acting talent including Gerard Butler, Jessica Biel, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Uma Thurman.

We cannot wait to see this guy back on the big screen!

Keanu, last seen in the 2010 comedy ‘Henry’s Crime’, has been busy with his new directorial work. He has taken to the fold-out chair for ‘Man Of Tai-Chi’ and ’47 Ronin’.

The 47-year-old also revealed that work on the third ‘Bill And Ted’ film is well underway.
