It’s one of their biggest storylines of the last year so it comes as no surprise that EastEnders bosses are planning a dramatic end for the rape storyline featuring Dean and Linda.
Executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins has revealed that viewers won’t be left wanting and that Dean will get what he deserves, although it might not be the conclusion people expect.
He told RadioTimes.com: “There will be justice. And how it’s meted out will be satisfying but shocking too.”

Linda and Mick have had a difficult few months.
Dominic added: “We have tried very hard to create police characters who are interesting and who have their own stories. And there are more police twists coming up. But that’s not who my viewers are tuning in to see.
“They want to see Linda and Mick. They’re the people they care about and not the police. So the police solving it is not satisfying for the viewers.”
Viewers have seen Linda (Kellie Bright) struggle to come to terms with what her brother-in-law Dean (Matt Di Angelo) did to her. It has also had a huge impact on her husband Mick (Danny Dyer) and the rest of the family.
