Georgia May Foote Says Corrie Romance Will “End in Tears”

Her character Katy is about to get involved with bad boy Callum

Georgia May Foote has revealed that her character’s upcoming romance is going to “end in tears.”

The actress has revealed that her onscreen alter-ego Katy Armstrong is headed for trouble when she falls for bad boy Callum Logan (Sean Ward).

Apparently the pair grow close when she sees him chatting to his son Max but he’s only using her to rile up David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) – in case you haven’t been watching, Callum is Kylie Platt’s former flame.

Katy and Callum embark on a fling.

Georgia, who is leaving the show, told Digital Spy: “It’s always going to end in tears because Callum’s main motive isn’t because he likes Katy and wants to be with her, but because she’s a hook for him to bring him back to the Street to be near to Max and to wind David up.

She added that she chooses to pursue the relationship despite warnings from friends and family: “I think she knows deep down that he’s not the type to settle down with… Katy just doesn’t rise to it and she tries to ignore it all.

“She tells herself that as long as she thinks he’s okay, then that’s all that matters. I think Katy likes a bad boy anyway so she’s definitely drawn to him and his edgy ways.”
