It’s been a tough few months for Tom Cruise. First his marriage to Katie Holmes broke down and now? Well now he’s missed out on a coveted movie roll because his ex-wife Nicole Kidman has refused to work with him.
The Sunday World is reporting that Tom told producers of an upcoming biopic about Princess Grace of Monaco that he would absolutely love to play the role of royal husband Prince Rainier III. However, the producers quickly turned the Mission Impossible star down after his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, flat-out refused to work with him.

In fact, Nicole, who has already been cast as Princess Grace for the film, threatened to drop the project if the producers decided to hire Tom.
“Tom was mortified when they rejected his offer and hired Tim Roth instead,” said a source who was on-set during all the drama.
“He thought it would be great to star opposite Nicole, even though they’re divorced, but she called the shots that led to him being told he had no chance. She thinks it would be weird to work with him again and just doesn’t want to know,” the source added.

In fairness, given the face that Tom would be playing her on-screen hubby in the film, we can understand why the actress would feel a bit weird about starring in it with him.
