Hostages Freed From Post Office Outside Paris

It is believed the post office is situated in Colombes, a city northwest of Paris.

An armed man has been arrested after taking two people hostage in a post office outside Paris.

According to reports, the hostages were freed after the man gave himself up to police.

French newspapers Le Figaro and Le Monde reported that the man had a military weapon.

Sources say the man was known to police and contacted them himself.

Police earlier said that there was no know link to extremist terror attacks.
