An unwashed pair of Elvis Presley’s underpants are expected to raise up to €13,000 at an auction.

The dirty undies, which are soiled with stains, were worn under a jumpsuit during a performance in 1977, the year he died.

According to Metro, the light-blue Y-fronts were obtained from the estate of Elvis’ father Vernon Presley and will be included in the auction in Stockport Cheshire.

Fans recently celebrated the 35th anniversary of the singer’s death and an increased interest in Elvis’ memorabilia is expected to draw more people to the auction.

Another item included in the auction is Elvis’ Holy Bible, which he possessed during his first Christmas in Graceland in Tennessee.

This item is expected to raise €32,000 at the auction.

Many passages in the Bible are underlined by Elvis himself, which adds to the value of the piece.

Home films, taken by his wife Priscilla Presley are also up for auction.

The videos are of their wedding and the first time their daughter Lisa Marie arrived at Graceland.

Her.ie can’t get over why people would pay to own dirty undies but we would be mortified if our fans were fighting over our knickers when we’re dead and gone.

Do you think it’s worth it?
