Stephen Fry has confirmed that he and partner Elliott Spencer are getting married.
The QI presenter took to Twitter this morning to respond to reports that they are planning to tie the knot.
He wrote: “Oh. It looks as though a certain cat is out of a certain bag. I’m very very happy of course but had hoped for a private wedding. Fat chance!”
He also thanked fans for their well wishes, saying: “Thank you all SO much for your kind congratulations. Deeply touched xxx”.
Stephen (57) and Elliott (27), who are believed to have started dating last year, apparently gave formal notice at a registry office in Norfolk.
