It could happen to anyone. But it happened to a BBC reporter, which makes it way funnier.
Witness the moment BBC News correspondent Quentin Sommerville attempts to file a report in front of a pile of burning drugs.
The usually-somber presenter can’t avoid the effects of the fumes, though, and is soon overcome with a fit of the giggles.
“Burning behind me is 8.5 tons of Heroin, Opium, Hashish and other narcotics.”
*Giggles uncontrollably.*
Sommerville shared the footage via his Twitter account earlier this week, but it has since been deleted. At the time, he said: “Dear tweeps, it’s been a year of bullets & bloodshed. You’ve earned a xmas laugh, at my expense.”
A spokesman for the BBC said: “The video of Quentin corpsing, which has now been deleted, was posted in the spirit of a blooper.
“It was filmed four years ago – it hasn’t been seen before and was never broadcast.”
