Six people are believed to have died after a council bin lorry drove into a pavement in Glasgow earlier today.
The horrifying incident took place shortly after 2.30pm at a junction outside Queen Street Station, which is said to have been busy with lunchtime office workers and people attending Christmas celebrations in the city’s George Square at the time.
According to the Daily Mail, journalist Keith Jackson was at the scene and said “there’s walking wounded and lots of people crying and upset. It’s pretty unbelievable; horrendous. Everyone is in complete shock”.
Scottish police have confirmed the “serious” incident but no further details are available as yet.
