Mel B has asked her ex-boyfriend Eddie Murphy for advice on how to deal with her marital problems.
According to reports, the X Factor judge rang Dreamgirls star Eddie to talk about her reported split from Stephen Belafonte.
A source told the Daily Star: “Eddie has told her to keep a lid on her feelings publicly. Stephen is the one doing all the talking and all the begging for her to go back to him.
“But Eddie has told her to keep quiet, stay classy and only talk when she has something to say.”

There has been speculation that Mel left the London home she shares with Stephen and her children last week after a number of arguments.
Days before this, she was spotted minus her wedding ring during the X Factor final.
Stephen maintains that Mel may have had a medical reason for not wearing her wedding ring and told The Sun that her hands may have been swollen.
“Listen, people do whatever they do. Maybe her hands were swollen and she couldn’t fit the ring on because she’s been in the hospital?”
